A multi-faceted building designed to function as both a cellar door and a farm stay.

Intentionally modest from the street, the scheme adopts motifs from the humble tin shed so prevalent within an Australian farm setting. The arrival is dramatized through the celebration and slow reveal of the outlooks beyond. These come into view upon opening a sliding barn door, which leads you into a central undercover court.

This court forms a pivotal point by which you navigate the project, acting as a kind of informal lobby – a place to stop and get your bearing. The cellar door is then situated to one side and sleeping quarters to the other.
